A brave operation by the brilliant songwriter Scott Matthew gave rise to the album “Unlearned”(Glitterhouse Records), a cover album, recently released, which features the most beautiful and moving cover of the legendary track by Joy Division “Love will tear us apart”, including cover of tracks by Bee Gees, Radiohead, Jesus and Mary Chain, Morrisey, Neil Young and many others. Tracks as “Smile”, interpreted by him and Neil Hannon from the Divine Comedy, as well as “Walk on by”, and “Anarchy in the UK”: genuine wonders. A little, big masterpiece by a great artist I was so lucky and pleased to enjoy years ago in a live performance.

Una coraggiosa operazione del brillante cantautore Scott Matthew ha dato vita all’ album “Unlearned”(Glitterhouse Records), un album di cover, recentemente pubblicato che ha quale protagonista la più bella e struggente interpretazione del leggendario brano dei Joy Division “Love will tear us apart”, include cover di brani di Bee Gees, Radiohead, Jesus and Mary Chain, Morrisey, Neil Young e molti altri. Brani quali “Smile”, interpretato da lui e Neil Hannon dei Divine Comedy, come anche “Walk on by” e “Anarchy in the UK”: autentiche meraviglie. Un piccolo, grande capolavoro di un grande artista che sono stata molto fortunata e lieta di apprezzare anni fa dal vivo.
