VISIONS & LANDSCAPES: THE PENTEDATTILO INTERNATIONAL SHORT FILM FESTIVAL

I recently enjoyed many suggestions during the latest edition of Pentedattilo International Film Festival, an event under the sign of film and its culture, promoted by the Association Pro Pentedattilo Onlus, produced by Ram Film which is held in Pentedattilo, suggestive ancient county placed on a mountain having the shape of a hand ( literally “Pentedattilo”means “five fingers”), being in the area of Reggio Calabria, in the Grecanic valley( including nine counties, suggestive area which hosts a Greek linguistic minority speaking the Grecanic, the Calabria Greek or Griko, a new-Greek dialect – called by the modern Greeks Katoitaliótika -, being a leftover of the Magna Graecia’s times). A three days event which hosts workshops as the one which is held by Alessandro Ago, director of the Programming and Special Projects Department of Los Angeles USC-School of Cinematic Art along with the screenings of many short-films and special screenings as “Fiabeschi torna a casa”, by Max Mazzotta, hilarious film inspired by the character of celebrated artist and illustrator Andrea Pazienza. A smashing event to appreciate visions and the lyricism of an evocative landscape.
