It will be held on 18th October 2013 in Venice at the Palazzo Badoer, aula Tafuri, at 5:30 pm the talk “The mechanical smile. Modernism and the first fashion shows in France and America (1900/1929)” featuring author and professor of fashion history and theory of the London Central Saint Martin’s Caroline Evans, who will talk about fashion, modernism and the rise of fashion show. The talk which will be introduced by the professors Mario Lupano and Alessandra Vaccari and will be followed by a cocktail to celebrate the time spent by Caroline Evans as visiting professor at the Fashion Design Faculty of Iuav University of Venice. A not to be missed happening under the sign of fashion culture.

Si terrà il 18 ottobre 2013 a Venezia presso il Palazzo Badoer, aula Tafuri, alle 17:30 il talk “The mechanical smile. Modernism and the first fashion shows in France and America (1900/1929)” di cui sarà protagonista la scrittrice e docente di storia e teoria della moda alla Central Saint Martin’s di Londra Caroline Evans, che parlerà di moda, modernismo e della nascita della sfilata. Il talk sarà presentato dai professori Mario Lupano e Alessandra Vaccari e sarà seguito da un cocktail per festeggiare il periodo trascorso da Caroline Evans nelle vesti di visiting professor alla Facoltà di Fashion Design della Università di Venezia Iuav. Un evento imperdibile all’ insegna della cultura della moda.
