REFINEMENT, RELAX & EPICUREANISM IN VAL DI CHIANA AT LA LODOLA

Warm welcome, refinement, relax and beauty of Tuscany countryside, its colors, scents and flavors are the alchemies featuring in my stay at La Lodola, suggestive 18th century villa placed in Foiano della Chiana, hosting a guest house made of five rooms, joining suggestions from past and comforts of present, emphasized by the catchy décor of interiors. The smashing place includes also the “Osteria”, restaurant where the master chef Carlo Porcu expresses and successfully makes concrete his genius I was pleased to appreciate during my Epicurean interludes including the breadsticks, a pastry made of potatoes and truffles, the ricotta served with a basil sausage and the best chocolate cake I ever have eaten in my life – which is soft, but at the same time structured and filled with the dark chocolate  ganache, a sublime experience – and many other delicious dishes. A place to go and where to come back for enjoy the caressing atmosphere of Tuscany countryside.

Calda accoglienza, raffinatezza, relax e la bellezza della campagna Toscana, i suoi colori, profumi e sapori sono le alchimie protagoniste nella mia permanenza a La Lodola, suggestiva villa del 18° secolo Foiano della Chiana che ospita una guest house composta da cinque camere che uniscono le suggestioni del passato ai comfort del presente, enfatizzate dall’ accattivante decoro degli interni. Il formidabile luogo include anche l’ “Osteria”, ristorante in cui il master chef Carlo Porcu esprime e felicemente concretizza il suo estro che ho molto apprezzato durante i miei interludi epicurei comprensivi di grissini, un tortino di patate profumato al tartufo, la ricotta servita su salsa al basilico, il miglior tortino al cioccolato che abbia mai mangiato nella mia vita – morbido, ma strutturato e con la ganache di cioccolato fondente al suo interno, un’ esperienza sublime – e tante altre delizie. Un luogo da visitare e in cui tornare per apprezzare la carezzevole atmosfera della campagna toscana.
