I think about the latest happening, the arrest of Julian Assange by borrowing the system created by the legendary fashion designer and social activist Vivienne Westwood, the pack of cards to save the world as it has explained on the website of Climate Revolution, one of the many laudable initiatives that involve her. To draw new landscapes, what she has done and is continuing to do at best through fashion and activism, under the sign of action propaganda( reminding me the lesson by the French philosopher Guy Debord). These cards often feature in the collections she made. I like reminding of the King of Clubs ( this card as birthday card depicts people who, due to many lifetimes, have amassed a resource of knowledge from which to draw with authority. They live this life on their own terms, from their unique perspective and have a commanding presence both physically and mentally. Information flows effortlessly through them. People of this card are here to experience life and themselves through their mental nature, thinking, communication, language, information, knowledge and education), where the clubs are considered by her as the symbol of the war, instead its main feature, Julian Assange has considered as “the true punk”, being a freedom fighter, that freedom of speech which is an inviolable right in a democratic society and makes free from fear, the evil of the contemporary society which increases violence worldwide. Therefore I join with the fashion designer – who featured in a public protest to ask for the liberation of Julian – and all of the ones, they are many, who think free of speech is a value to protect and defend.
LIBERTÀ DI PAROLA, VIA LA PAURA: JULIAN ASSANGE, UN VERO PUNK
Penso a recenti accadimenti, l’ arresto di Julian Assange prendendo a prestito il sistema creato dalla leggendaria fashion designer e attivista nel sociale Vivienne Westwood, il mazzo di carte per salvare il mondo come è spiegato sul sito web di Climate Revolution, una delle svariate lodevoli iniziative che la coinvolgono. Disegnare nuovi paesaggi, ciò che ha fatto e sta continuando a fare al meglio attraverso la moda e l’ attivismo, all’ insegna della propaganda ad agire ( che mi ricorda la lezione del filosofo francese Guy Debord). Avvalersi del mazzo di carte, antico strumento di gioco e sistema divinatorio, la mantica, un insieme di significanti, simboli e icone per dar vita a molteplici significati. Sovente tali carte appaiono nelle collezioni da lei realizzate. Mi piace ripensare al Re di Fiori ( tale carta quale carta di nascita ritrae individui che, in ragione di molteplici vite, hanno accumulato una fonte di conoscenza dalla quale attingono con autorevolezza. Vivono la vita conformemente a se stessi, dalla loro unica prospettiva. L’ informazione scorre senza fatica in loro. Le persone di questa carta sono qui per sperimentare la vita e se stessi attraverso la loro natura mentale, il pensiero, la comunicazione, lingua, informazione, conoscenza ed educazione), in cui i fiori sono da lei ritenuti il simbolo della guerra, invece il suo principale protagonista, Julian Assange è considerato il “vero punk”, essendo uno che lotta per la libertà, quella libertà di parola che è un diritto inviolabile in una società democratica e scaccia via la paura, il male della società contemporanea che accresce la violenza in tutto il mondo. Perciò mi unisco alla fashion designer – protagonista di una manifestazione di protesta per chiedere la liberazione di Julian – e tutti coloro che, sono numerosi, pensano che la libertà di parola sia un valore da proteggere e difendere.
