THE CULT OF NATURE, FOOD FOR THE SOUL AND OTHER WONDERS AT THE FLORENCE CRAFTSMANSHIP TRADESHOW

It successfully follows the Florence Craftsmanship tradeshow event which hosts a series of smashing initiatives connected to the lifestyle as an area focused on the furniture made under the sign of re-use, a vintage clothing display and other interesting events increasing the culture of living in a conscious way which respects and pays homage to the nature. Concerning this theme, embodied in a book about which I recently talked or rather “Armonia selvatica, semi coraggiosi” (“Wild harmony, brave seeds”, Ponte alle Grazie editions, 12,00 Euros) which will be the core of a conference featuring the bright author Angelo Naj Oleari which will be held today during this happening in Florence at 11:00 am at Fortezza da Basso in the attic of Spadolini pavilion. A not to be missed circumstance to discover and know more about the nature, thinking about values and purposes that can be made concrete during the long term period. This is an issue connected to every development of making, an ethical way of creating and working, considering the example arising from the nature surrounding us, precious means to get that change under the sign of sense which is so necessary today.

Prosegue felicemente la Fiera dell’ Artigianato di Firenze che ospita una serie di formidabili iniziative legate a un lifestyle consapevole quali un’ area dedicate ai componenti di arredo realizzati mediante il riuso, una rassegna di abbigliamento e altri interessanti eventi che valorizzano la cultura del vivere in un modo che rispetta e celebra la natura. Riguardo a questa tematica, racchiusa in un libro di cui ho recentemente parlato ovvero di “Armonia selvatica, semi coraggiosi” (Edizioni Ponte alle Grazie, 12,00 Euro) che sarà presentato in occasione di una conferenza con il brillante autore Angelo Naj Oleari la quale si terrà oggi durante questo happening, a Firenze alle ore 11:00 alla Fortezza da Basso nell’ attico del Padiglione Spadolini. Un’ occasione imperdibile per scoprire, conoscere meglio la natura, pensando a valori e finalità che possono essere concretizzati nel lungo periodo. Questa è una problematica connessa a ogni esplicazione del fare, a un modo etico di creare e lavorare, prendendo in considerazione l’ esempio della natura che ci circonda, prezioso strumento per avviare quel cambiamento all’insegna di senso che è oltremodo necessario oggi.

FASHION, LUXURY, CONTEMPORARY TIMES & ART: THE SIGN OF LIBORIO CAPIZZI AT THE CONDÉ NAST INTERNATIONAL LUXURY CONFERENCE IN FLORENCE

The Condé Nast International Luxury Conference, ideated by Suzy Menkes and Condé Nast, event which lasted two days and has recently held in Florence, focused on luxury, technology and contemporary time. A dynamic and complex scene painted by many panelists(renowned fashion designers, personas coming from the realm of fashion communication along with young emerging creatives from the luxury industry as Delfina Delettrez and Iris van Herpen) and enriched by a party at Palazzo Corsini which featured a marvelous performance where the dancer Emilie Fouilloux wore a solemn and light dress, made esclusively for the event by the genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi, creator of the demi-couture brand DiLiborio, recorded by the following video by Giorgio Bellani I am pleased of sharing.

La International Luxury Conference di Condé Nast, ideata da Suzy Menkes e Condé Nast, evento di due giorni che si è recentemente tenuto a Firenze, incentrato sul lusso, la tecnologia e la contemporaneità. Un dinamico e complesso scenario disegnato da vari panelists(rinomati fashion designer, personaggi della comunicazione di moda unitamente a giovani creativi emergenti nell’ ambito dell’ industria del lusso quali Delfina Delettrez e Iris van Herpen) e arricchito da un party a Palazzo Corsini di cui è stata protagonista una splendida performance in cui la ballerina Emilie Fouilloux ha indossato un solenne e leggiadro abito, appositamente realizzato per l’ evento dal geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi, creatore del brand di demi-couture DiLiborio, documentata nel video di Giorgio Bellani che segue e mi rallegra condividere.

MONNA (G)AY: ART, FUN, MUSIC & CHARITY IN FLORENCE

It will be held from 13^th to 15^th June 2014 in Florence in Piazza della Passera during the second edition of Monna Lisa Day, the charity event Monna (G)ay where it will be showcased and sold during a charity auction the works made by artists, fashion designers and renowned creatives( as Alberto Lapenna, Amleto Di Leo, Caterina Bini, Christian Correnti, Cori Amenta, Davide Bazzerla, Federico Tinelli, First Love Yourself, Floriana Cantarelli, Francesca Lotti, Franco Bini, Gerry De Bastiano, Lapo Belmestieri, Liborio Capizzi, Luca De Gaetano, Marco and Clinton Querci, MSGM Massimo Giorgetti, Mustafa Sabbagh, Paolo Orlandi, Ralph Hall, Riccardo Slavik, Thomas De Falco and many others), inspired by the theme of Monna Lisa. The events wants encouraging people to air the laundry in public, go out and invite to make their coming out without any fear of being discriminated for the way they are and live their own sexuality. The proceeds resulting from the auction sale, which will be directed by Diego Passoni from Radio Deejay, will be given to the no-profit association Ireos which helps the people from the LGBT community who are in difficulty. Music and fun will feature in the opening party of the event, made in collaboration with the Krisko by Paolo Penelope which will be held on 13^th June 2014 at the Life club, then it will follow on the 15^th June from 6:00 to 8:00 pm the charity auction. A not to be missed happening which has a laudable purpose.

It featured in the event Italics, which presented the collections of fashion designers who work and produce their creations in Italy, included in the latest edition of Florence tradeshow event Pitti, the fashion show of first menswear collection by Stella Jean. Fun, color, prints embodying birds and other vibrant patterns features in the Spring/Summer 2014 collection she made, “Four orthodox dandies”, which successfully joins retro lines, smashing accessories as the sandals and hats and making concrete a new, contemporary, ironic and playful elegance.

PITTI: “IT’S A SMALL WORLD” THE DIALOGUE BETWEEN EAST & WEST BY EMILIANO RINALDI

It has presented during the latest edition of Florentine fashion tradeshow event Pitti “It’s a small world”, the Spring/Summer 2014 collection of the bright, young fashion designer Emiliano Rinaldi, featuring a dialogue between East and West under the sign of minimalism: fluid jackets, clean lines, catchy prints, shorts, a palette of colors including black, white, light grey, red, blue, mud, light blue burgundy and patterns evoking oriental suggestions, embodied also in some female outfits that have here presented, successful evidence of a young genuine talent who is successfully following his creative path.

È stata presentata durante l’ ultima edizione dell’ evento fieristico di moda fiorentino Pitti “It’s a small world”, la collezione primavera/estate 2014 del brillante, giovane fashion designer Emiliano Rinaldi di cui è protagonista un dialogo tra Oriente e Occidente all’ insegna del minimalismo: giacche fluide, linee pulite, accattivanti stampe, shorts, una palette di colori che include nero, bianco, grigio chiaro, rosso, bordeaux, blu, fango, celeste, bordeaux e motivi che evocano suggestioni orientali, racchiusi anche in alcuni outfits da donna che sono stati ivi presentati, felice dimostrazione di un giovane talento che sta felicemente proseguendo il suo iter creativo.

KNITWEAR BEYOND KNITWEAR: THE AESTETHICS OF LIGHTNESS BY BOBOUTIC

THE TRIBUTE TO POSTMODERN CRAFTSMANSHIP BY ERÏK BJERKESIÖ AT VILLA FAVARD

It was recently held during the latest edition of Florentine fashion tradeshow event Pitti, at Villa Favard – wonderful building which hosts the renowned fashion school Polimoda -, the performance that presented the Fall/Winter 2013-2014 menswear collection by the brilliant, young fashion designer Erïk Bjerkesiö, winner of WION (menswear category) latest edition. The collection he made has thought as a bridge between two cultures and lands, Sweden, native country of fashion designer and Italy, Tuscany, Florence, the place where he trained ( by attending the Polimoda) and he produces a smashing collections of shoes and menswear that give rise to a genuine “tribute to the postmodern craftsmanship” – as Erïk asserts – and includes refined volumes and lines that evidence fashion for men and women are going closer one to the other.

IL TRIBUTO ALLA ARTIGIANALITÀ POSTMODERNA DI ERÏK BJERKESIÖ A VILLA FAVARD

Si è recentemente tenuto in occasione dell’ evento fieristico di moda fiorentino Pitti, presso Villa Favard – meraviglioso edificio che ospita la rinomata scuola di moda Polimoda – la performance che ha presentato la collezione autunno/inverno di abbigliamento uomo 2013-2014 del brillante, giovane fashion designer Erïk Bjerkesiö, vincitore dell’ ultima edizione di WION (categoria abbigliamento uomo). La collezione da lui realizzata è stata pensata quale ponte tra due culture e terre, la Svezia, terra natia del fashion designer e l’ Italia, la Toscana, Firenze, luogo in cui si é formato (frequentando il Polimoda) e in cui produce una formidabile collezione di calzature e abbigliamento da uomo che danno vita a un autentico “tributo all’ artigianalità postmoderna” – come afferma Erïk – e include raffinati volumi e linee che evidenziano in che misura la moda da uomo e donna si stiano avvicinando l’ una all’ altra sempre di più.
