THE PUNK MANIFESTO BY DILIBORIO

It lightly shines in “Parental control”, the Fall/Winter 2018-2019 collection by DiLiborio, the instantaneity of a gesture which becomes political, poetic and cultural, a punk manifesto talking about elegance, a lifestyle, eminently anti-bourgeois, behind that, my words are frugal, full of emotion, respect and plaudit, stop and hear the ones by the genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi:

“The denials that generate the revolution.

In an imaginary generational conflict of sons against fathers and daughters against mothers,

the freedom denied, the severe imposition of strict rules, induces a reactions that materializes a protest,

taking as their target the formal and full closets of their bourgeois parents.

The protest appropriates and vents its fury on any type of traditional clothing and on everything

stands for it the social context, brutally attacking above all those garments of disarming boredom

but intrinsic and timely haute-couture.

Mistreated and stripped from their original meaning and position in the wardrobe,

and force-marched in the visual-aesthetic direction of what they will be and what they will express as the ideal goal,

for those who don’t want to be,

for those who don’t want to belong,

or who don’t want heroes to imitate.

Everything is violated and taken out of character with cynical irony and sophisticated spite,

then treated with the symbolism of a modern-day punk manifesto, designing on it the reactionary sign of that personal refusal to belong, to fit in, that has been their banner since birth.

The protest, however, does not deny the essential classical foundations, but rather exploits and abuses them,

taking advantage of them to invent a willful taste of the opposite,

using what ought not to be used in ways no one ever does, or should not.

The rage plays out in apparent destruction, using a wide range of techniques with skillful control

to inflict countless actions of dismemberment and assembly, unstitching and outright slashes, bleaching, stains and spray-paint script; paradoxically generating an instinctive but consciously personal type of elegance.

IL MANIFESTO PUNK DI DILIBORIO

Fulgida risplende in “Parental control”, la collezione autunno/inverno 2018-2019 di DiLiborio, l’ istantaneità di un gesto che diventa politico, poetico e culturale, un manifesto punk che parla di eleganza, uno stile di vita, eminentemente antiborghese, dinanzi al quale, parche le mie parole, dense di emozione, ammirazione e plauso, si fermano e ascoltano quelle del geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi:

“Le negazioni che generano la rivoluzione.

In un immaginario conflitto generazionale, di figli contro padri e figlie contro madri, dove la libertà negata, la severa imposizione e rigide regole inducono a una reazione che si materializza in una protesta, prendendo di mira i formali e forniti armadi dei loro borghesi genitori.

La protesta si appropria e si accanisce su qualsiasi tipologia di quel vestire tradizionale e su tutto quello che socialmente ne rappresenta, infierendo brutalmente soprattutto su quei capi di ingannevole noia, ma di intrinseca e senza tempo alta fattura.

Manomesso e spogliato dal significato originale di cosa è, e cosa esprime, il guardaroba è spintonato nella direzione visio-estetica di cosa sarà e cosa dovrà comunicare come ideale traguardo,

per chi vuole non essere,

per chi non vuole appartenere

o per chi non vuole eroi da incarnare,

tutto è attaccato e tutto è snaturato con cinica ironia, sofisticati dispetti e simbologie di un odierno manifesto punk,

tracciando su esso i segni reazionari del proprio rifiuto all’ appartenenza

che per nascita lo rappresenta.

La protesta non rinnega però i fondamenti classici ma li sfrutta, ne abusa e approfitta

per inventare un voluto gusto dell’ opposto

utilizzandolo come non si dovrebbe,

quando non si potrebbe,

o come non si fa.

La rabbia sfoga in apparente deturpazione utilizzando con sapiente controllo svariate tecniche

per infliggere mirati interventi di smembramenti e assemblaggi, scuciture e squarci laser, scoloriture, macchie e scritte spray, generando paradossalmente un istintivo, ma consapevole e personale, tipo di eleganza”.

THE SARTORIALISM & TRANSCENDENCE BY DILIBORIO

Transcendence, transformation, sartorialism, performative lyricism transfiguring matter into the sublime and talking about the art of making. That is the alchemy featuring in the new collection by DiLiborio, brand created by the genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi (and presented in Milan during the fashion at the Triennale Design Museum). It’ s a continuous research under the sign of instinct and passion, a journey visiting the beyond, drawing a dark path peopled by apocalyptic suggestions. Industrial landscapes – emphasized by the video “A brief apocalypse” featuring Skin and Polly Fey – are enriched by storm and stress, a romantic choralism. The lightness of lace, silk, transforms and defines itself, becoming wonder, austere, morphing solemnity, pattern which is also impressed in the accessories (as the necklace becoming shades), successfully evidencing the excellence of contemporary made in Italy.

LA SARTORIALITÀ & TRASCENDENZA DI DILIBORIO

Trascendenza, trasformazione, sartorialità, lirismo performativo che trasfigura la materia nel sublime e parla dell’ arte del fare. Questa l’ alchimia protagonista della nuova collezione di DiLiborio, brand creato dal geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi (e presentata a Milano durante la fashion week presso il Museo del Design della Triennale).Una ricerca continua all’ insegna di visceralità e passione, un viaggio che visita l’ oltre, disegnando un sentiero oscuro popolato da suggestioni apocalittiche. Scenari industrial – enfatizzati dal video “A brief apocalypse” di cui è protagonista Skin e Polly Fey – si arricchiscono di tempesta e impeto, dando vita a una romantica coralità. La levità del pizzo, della seta si trasforma e definisce, diventando meraviglia, austera solennità mutante, motivo impresso anche negli accessori (quali la collana che diviene un occhiale), felice testimonianza dell’ eccellenza del made in Italy contemporaneo.

THE INTERIORS OF SOLEMN, SARTORIAL-ROCK ELEGANCE: THE ATELIER OF LIBORIO CAPIZZI

It’s a pleasant ritual to visit, every time I am in Milan, the atelier of the genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi where it shines many suggestions, artifacts telling about his life and work and embodying fierceness, passion, genuineness and a multidisciplinary attitude giving rise to a successful dialogue between fashion, design, art and music. The sign of rock and punk music is strong and present, tracks covering the walls, evidencing his deep connection with the music scene, its electricity, something flowing in his veins and is also successfully made concrete by DiLiborio, the demi-couture brand he created. Rock-sartorialism meets the mysticism and a solemn and dramatic romanticism, depicting the elegance as a libertine and libertarian lifestyle. It’s a tale of matter about fashion which becomes religion, emphasized by the Liborio’ s sense of construction, paying homage an assertive, sophisticated femininity, a thinking woman personality who is at the same time a drama queen, metropolitan predator and a glampire. I breathed that unique scent of ideas on the move, creativity being deeply connected to that conceptual rigor I celebrate.

GLI INTERNI DELLA SOLENNE ELEGANZA SARTORIAL-ROCK: L’ ATELIER DI LIBORIO CAPIZZI

È un piacevole rituale visitare, ogni volta che mi trovo a Milano, l’ atelier del geniale fashion Liborio Capizzi in cui splendono plurime suggestioni, artefatti che raccontano la sua vita e il suo lavoro e racchiudono in sé fierezza, passione, autenticità e un’ attitudine multidisciplinare che dà vita a un felice dialogo tra moda, design, arte e musica. Forte, presente è il segno della musica rock, punk che copre i muri testimoniando il suo profondo legame con gli ambienti della musica, la sua elettricità, qualcosa che gli scorre nelle vene ed è anche felicemente concretizzata dal DiLiborio, il brand di demi-couture da lui creato. La sartorialità rock incontra il misticismo e un solenne, drammatico romanticismo, dipingendo l’ eleganza come stile di vita libertino e libertario. Un racconto materico sulla moda che diventa religione, enfatizzato dal senso della costruzione di Liborio e rende omaggio a una femminilità assertiva e sofisticata, una donna pensante che è al tempo stesso una drama queen, predatrice metropolitana e una vampira glam. Ho ivi respirato quel sublime profumo delle idee in movimento, della creatività profondamente connessa a quel rigore concettuale che celebro.

FASHION, LUXURY, CONTEMPORARY TIMES & ART: THE SIGN OF LIBORIO CAPIZZI AT THE CONDÉ NAST INTERNATIONAL LUXURY CONFERENCE IN FLORENCE

The Condé Nast International Luxury Conference, ideated by Suzy Menkes and Condé Nast, event which lasted two days and has recently held in Florence, focused on luxury, technology and contemporary time. A dynamic and complex scene painted by many panelists(renowned fashion designers, personas coming from the realm of fashion communication along with young emerging creatives from the luxury industry as Delfina Delettrez and Iris van Herpen) and enriched by a party at Palazzo Corsini which featured a marvelous performance where the dancer Emilie Fouilloux wore a solemn and light dress, made esclusively for the event by the genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi, creator of the demi-couture brand DiLiborio, recorded by the following video by Giorgio Bellani I am pleased of sharing.

La International Luxury Conference di Condé Nast, ideata da Suzy Menkes e Condé Nast, evento di due giorni che si è recentemente tenuto a Firenze, incentrato sul lusso, la tecnologia e la contemporaneità. Un dinamico e complesso scenario disegnato da vari panelists(rinomati fashion designer, personaggi della comunicazione di moda unitamente a giovani creativi emergenti nell’ ambito dell’ industria del lusso quali Delfina Delettrez e Iris van Herpen) e arricchito da un party a Palazzo Corsini di cui è stata protagonista una splendida performance in cui la ballerina Emilie Fouilloux ha indossato un solenne e leggiadro abito, appositamente realizzato per l’ evento dal geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi, creatore del brand di demi-couture DiLiborio, documentata nel video di Giorgio Bellani che segue e mi rallegra condividere.

AN EXPERIENCE OF ELEGANCE, SARTORIALISM & UNIQUENESS: MYSTIC RUNWAY BY DILIBORIO

A performative tale, being much more than a fashion show, mystic synaesthesia under the sign of sounds and vision joining holy and profane. This is “Mystic runway”, a “Gesamtkunstwerk”, Wagnerian “total work of art” by the brand DiLIBORIO, created by the genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi which was held during the fashion week in Milan at the Science and Technology Museum. Emotion, sacredness, magic of the moment and gesture. The purity of water, the one held in a glass by the members of a Gregorian chorus who caressed its border, standing up on the catwalk, started to sing and later to walk towards the flames of a fire which illuminated them. The solemnity of this show came before the fashion show which presented “Mystic Synaesthesia”, the Fall/Winter 2015-2016 collection of brand, genuine experiential tableaux vivant.

Flames continued floating, before being free, after being surrounded by the friezes of a gate and impressed in a big screen, features in the fashion show opening – set which reminded me “The ninth gate”, celebrated movie by Roman Polanski -, accompanied by evocative electro sounds that revisited the music of famous track “Bela Lugosi’s dead” by Bauhaus. Immediately after the fire disappears and the gate stays, turning into a mirror reflecting the silhouettes that walked along the catwalk.

Thus it starts the interlude where the coral lyricism emerges from the private and becomes public, universal and intelligible. A mix of faces, thoughts and feelings and belonging to Liborio’s private as well as intimate dimension talks about a strong connection made of divine synchronism which connected him him and still does, personally as well as professionally, in terms of creativity, passion, expression and exchange to renowned personas, Italian and foreigner celebrities, an elite coming from the mainstream and underground scene of fashion, design, film, dance, music and television who featured in that. An intimist story which gives a poetic rigorous and democratic vision of contemporary elegance, enriching of new senses and perceptions, becoming lifestyle, taking on a solemn, libertine e and libertarian aesthetics, impressed in the collection by the fashion designer and including men and women who have different ages.

DiLIBORIO Fall/Winter 2015-2015 — DiLIBORIO Fall/Winter 2015-2016

Thirty-three are the creations Liborio presented, that embody the dialectic between the single and the plural and including a wonderful showcase of menswear ( where it shines magnificent architectures: capes, shearling maxi waistcoats, shirts with lace details and knit coats). In fact one is the paper pattern, the shaping medium, instead different are the materials combined and overlapped between themselves, from whose the many garments arises.

A wise game of stratifications – metaphor of the many settles of history, experience, fashion, costume culture and the art of making on which Mystic synaesthesia is woven – blends the lightness of silk gazar, jersey and organza, lace, cotton tulle to the texture of woolen cloth, knitwear, leather and fur, giving rise to a successful alchemy of matter embodied in marvelous constructions, paradigms of fluidity, dynamism and refinement. Coats, jackets, blouses and long shirts depict an algid, austere and incisive femininity where gothic-romantic interpretations are delicate trails of a sartorial rock influence, emphasized by shades of white, black and antique pink along with some blaze of blue as well as tartan and metallic details creating effects of shimmering lights. The conceptual rigor becomes religion and the precious details of creations reveal the profound belonging to the made in Italy excellence. A bright evidence of that is given by the accessories, enchanting sandals with the gaiters turning into boots, smashing reinterpretation the of armours’ shoes, details telling about an heroic, dramatic and at the same time wild femininity, drawing a modern Valkyrie, evoking old, dark and unusual romantic landscapes.

UN’ ESPERIENZA DI ELEGANZA, SARTORIALITÀ E UNICITÀ: MYSTIC RUNWAY DI DILIBORIO

Un racconto performativo, molto più di una sfilata, mistica sinestesia all’ insegna di suoni e visioni che unisce sacro e profano, questo è “Mystic runway”, una “Gesamtkunstwerk”, “opera d’ arte totale” di wagneriana memoria del brand DiLIBORIO, creato dal geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi che si è tenuta durante la fashion week a Milano presso il Museo della Scienza e della Tecnologia. Emozione, sacralità e magia dell’ istante e del gesto. La purezza dell’ acqua, quella tenuta in un bicchiere dai membri di un coro gregoriano che ne accarezzavano il bordo in piedi sulla passerella e iniziavano a cantare per poi procedere verso le fiamme di un fuoco che li illuminava. La solennità di questa esibizione ha preceduto la sfilata che presentava “Mystic Synaesthesia”, la collezione autunno/inverno 2015-2016 del marchio, autentico tableaux vivant esperienziale.

Le fiamme continuavano a fluttuare prima libere, poi cinte dai fregi di un cancello e impresse su un grande schermo, comprimari dell’ apertura della sfilata – scenario che mi ha riportato alla mente “La nona porta” il celebre film di Roman Polanski -, accompagnata da evocative sonorità electro che rivisitavano le musiche del famoso brano “Bela Lugosi’s dead” dei Bauhaus. Subito dopo il fuoco va via e il cancello resta, trasformandosi in uno specchio riflettente delle silhouettes che calcavano la passerella.

Inizia così l’ interludio in cui il lirismo corale del privato diventa pubblico, universale e intellegibile. Una commistione di volti, pensieri e sentimenti impressi nella dimensione intima e privata di Liborio parla di quel profondo legame fatto di sincretismo divino che lo ha unito e lo unisce, personalmente e professionalmente, in termini di creatività, passione, espressione e condivisione a noti personaggi e celebrità italiane e straniere, una elite del circuito di mainstream e underground della moda, del design, del cinema della musica e della televisione che ne sono protagonisti. Una storia intimista che offre una visione poetica, rigorosa e democratica dell’ eleganza contemporanea, arricchendosi di nuovi sensi e percezioni, la quale diventa lifestyle, assume su di sé una solenne estetica libertina e libertaria impressa nella collezione del fashion designer e abbraccia uomini e donne di diverse età.

Trentatré sono le creazioni presentate da Liborio che racchiudono in sé la dialettica dell’ uno e del molteplice e includono una meravigliosa rassegna di abbigliamento uomo(in cui splendono magnifiche architetture: cappe, maxi-gilet di shearling, camicie con dettagli in pizzo e i cappotti di maglia). Uno è infatti il cartamodello, il loro modulo formante, diversi sono invece i materiali abbinati e sovrapposti tra loro da cui deriva la pluralità di abiti.

Un sapiente gioco di stratificazioni – metafora delle plurime sedimentazioni di storia, esperienza, cultura della moda, del costume e dell’ arte del fare su cui è intessuta Mystic synaesthesia – fonde la levità del gazar, del jersey e dell’ organza di seta, il pizzo, il tulle di cotone alla consistenza del panno di lana, della maglieria, della pelle e pelliccia, dando vita a una felice alchimia materica racchiusa in splendide costruzioni, paradigmi di fluidità, dinamismo e raffinatezza. Cappotti, giacche, camicie e tuniche dipingono una femminilità algida, austera e incisiva in cui segni gotico-romantici sono lievi tracce interpretate dal creativo in chiave sartorial rock, enfatizzate da nuance di bianco, nero rosa carne, beige insieme a qualche bagliore di blu come anche dal tartan e da effetti metallici che creano giochi di luce sui tessuti. Il rigore concettuale diventa religione e i preziosi dettagli delle creazioni svelano l’ intima appartenenza all’ eccellenza del made in Italy. Una piena dimostrazione di ciò è data dagli accessori, gli incantevoli sandali con le ghette che si trasformano in stivali, reinterpretano i calzari delle armature, dettagli che parlano di una eroica femminilità, drammatica, divina e al tempo stesso ferina, disegnano una moderna Walkiria, evocando antichi, oscuri e inusitati scenari romantici.

THE UNUSUAL ARCHITECTURES & ROCK SUGGESTIONS BY LIBORIO CAPIZZI FEATURING IN THE MERCEDES BENZ ZURICH FASHION DAYS

The genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi, featured in Mercedes Benz Zurich Fashion Days, event which was recently held in Zurich, where it has presented the new collection of his brand Di Liborio being under the sign of rock suggestions – that were also emphasized by the live performance of a British band – and unusual architectures talking about sartorialism, incisiveness and experimentation. The vibrant alchemy made of fringes, transparencies, constructions and deconstructions (where it shines a successful reinterpretation of caftan becoming more dramatic for women and solemn for man), metallic appliqués, precious floral embroideries, red, grey and black monochromes, leather – being also in lame version – embodies Liborio’s sense of sartorialism, depicts an austere, feral, refined femininity and celebrates a sophisticated metropolitan predator.

Il geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi, è stato protagonista di Mercedes Benz Zurich Fashion Days, evento che si è recentemente tenuto a Zurigo, durante il quale è stata presentata la nuova collezione del suo brand Di Liborio all’ insegna di suggestioni rock – enfatizzate anche dall’ esibizione dal vivo di una band inglese – e architetture insolite che parlano di sartorialità, incisività e sperimentazione. La vibrante alchimia fatta di frange, trasparenze, costruzioni e decostruzioni(in cui splende una felice reinterpretazione del caftano che diventa più drammatica per la donna e solenne per l’ uomo), decorazioni metalliche, preziosi ricami floreali, monocromie di rosso, grigio e nero, pelle – anche in versione laminata – e pelliccia racchiude il senso della sartorialità di Liborio, dipinge una femminilità austera, ferina, raffinata e celebra una sofisticata predatrice metropolitana.

“VIPER ROOM”: THE PUNK-ROCK SUGGESTIONS BY DILIBORIO

Punk-rock suggestions, music, underground atmospheres and demi-couture were the alchemies that featured in “Viper Room”, the event where it was presented the new collection by DiLiborio, brand created by genius fashion designer Liborio Capizzi. His atelier, an extremely evocative place where I like coming back, turned into a club, a kind of CBGB, where a British band performed live, peopled by models who wore the creations he made. Here it shined those patterns and references that are a leitmotiv of work by Liborio, joining a bright sartorialism, a solemn elegance to a rock attitude combined to gothic-romantic elements: black is the main feature of collection along with leather, being also in lame version, fringes, transparencies of marvelous shirts, metallic and golden appliqués enrich the leather jackets. Sound, visions and constructions give rise to an engaging tale talking about a refined, austere and wild femininity.

“VIPER ROOM”: LE SUGGESTIONI PUNK-ROCK DI DILIBORIO

Suggestioni punk-rock, musica, atmosfere underground e demi-couture sono state le alchimie protagoniste di “Viper Room”, l’ evento in cui è stata presentata la nuova collezione di DiLiborio, brand creato dal geniale fashion designer Liborio Capizzi. Il suo atelier, un luogo estremamente evocativo dove mi piace ritornare, si era trasformato in un locale notturno, una sorta di CBGB, in cui una band inglese si è esibita dal vivo, popolato da modelle che indossavano le sue creazioni. Ivi brillavano quei motivi e riferimenti che sono un leitmotiv dell’ opera di Liborio, il quale unisce una brillante sartorialità, una solenne eleganza a un’ attitudine rock abbinata a elementi gotico-romantici: il nero è il protagonista della collezione unitamente alla pelle, presente anche in versione laminata, frange, trasparenze delle meravigliose camicie, decorazioni metalliche e dorate arricchiscono le giacche di pelle. Suoni, visioni e costruzioni danno vita a un avvincente racconto che parla di una raffinata, austera e selvaggia femminilità.

ALTAROMA: “BLACK CELEBRATION”, FASHION, ART AND DESIGN UNDER THE SIGN OF BLACK

Dear FBFers, here I am again after a long time to talk about the Altaroma latest edition and “Black celebration”, exhibition event I ideated and curated in collaboration with Altaroma which was held in Rome at the Montoro 12 art gallery. The event bringing the same name of the track and legendary album by Depeche Mode – one of most relevant chapters of new-wave music – celebrated a color, its incisiveness, deepness and refinement through a smashing showcase of fashion, art, design and music. High fashion and demi-couture made in Italy, dresses and accessories made by renowned couturiers and vibrant creatives as Renato Balestra, Sarli, Galitzine by Sergio Zambon, Liborio Capizzi, Sylvio Giardina, Angelos Bratis, Maurizio Pecoraro, Lucia Odescalchi, Mario Salvucci, Anna Porcu, Olga Pong, Arnoldo Battois, Myriam B. and Frank Lo dialogued with the art by the brilliant photographer Marco Bertolini, the artistic installation “Skull” by Sylvio Giardina – a dynamic black book embodied in a black, lighting Plexiglas box depicting the movement of a ray of light evoking the brightness of a color which is often connected to darkness, forgetting the lessons by Caravaggio who successfully impressed in his works the light of black -, the olfactive design by Antonio Gardoni, bright architect and creator of artistic perfumery brand Bogue profumo, who presented the Bogue Mask, a scent diffuser for interiors along with Cologne and the new scent MAAI – scents that are 100% naturals and free from chemical fixers -, and the enchanting site-specific installation created by a marvelous creative, the milliner Olga Pong. The atmosphere which talked about the persuasiveness of black has emphasized by the music by Andy Fluon, founder of Bluvertigo band and artistic collective and band Fluon who reinterpreted exclusively for the happening the famous track by Depeche Mode. A successful afternoon interlude which has enriched by Epicurean suggestions: the creations by the food designer Francesca Silveri from the Foligno San Feliciano Bakery and Bocca di Dama, salted and sweet cookies made in black and the culture of taste embodied in the delicious wines by Tasca D’ Almerita.

ALTAROMA: “BLACK CELEBRATION”, MODA, ARTE E DESIGN ALL’ INSEGNA DEL NERO

Cari FBFers, rieccomi dopo lungo tempo per parlare dell’ ultima edizione di Altaroma e di “Black celebration”, evento espositivo da me ideato e curato in collaborazione con Altaroma che si è tenuto a Roma presso la galleria d’ arte Montoro 12. L’ evento, che porta il nome del brano e leggendario album dei Depeche Mode – uno dei capitolo più significativi della musica new-wave -, ha celebrato un colore, il nero, la sua incisività, profondità e raffinatezza attraverso una formidabile rassegna di moda, arte, design e musica. Alta moda e demi-couture made in Italy, abiti e accessory realizzati da rinomati couturiers e vibranti creativi quali Renato Balestra, Sarli, Galitzine by Sergio Zambon, Liborio Capizzi, Sylvio Giardina, Angelos Bratis, Maurizio Pecoraro, Lucia Odescalchi, Mario Salvucci, Anna Porcu, Olga Pong, Arnoldo Battois, Myriam B. e Frank Lo hanno dialogato con l’ arte del brillante fotografo Marco Bertolini, l’ installazione artistica “Skull” di Sylvio Giardina – un libro nero dinamico racchiuso in una luminosa scatola nera di plexiglass che ritrae il movimento di un raggio di luce, il quale evoca la lucentezza di un colore sovente associato all’ oscurità, dimenticandosi la lezione di Caravaggio che ha impresso nelle sue opere la luce del nero -, il design olfattivo di Antonio Gardoni, brillante architetto e creatore del brand di profumeria artistica Bogue profumo, che ha presentato la Bogue Mask, un diffusore di profumo per ambienti unitamente a Cologne e al nuovo profumo MAAI – fragranze che sono naturali al 100 % e prive di fissatori chimici – e l’ incantevole installazione creata da una fantastica creativa, la designer di cappelli Olga Pong. L’ atmosfera che parlava della persuasività del nero è stata enfatizzata dalla musica di Andy Fluon, fondatore della band Bluvertigo e del collettivo artistico e band Fluon che ha reinterpretato esclusivamente per l’ evento il famoso brano dei Depeche Mode. Un felice interludio pomeridiano che è stato arricchito da suggestioni epicuree: le creazioni della food designer Francesca Silveri del Forno San Feliciano di Foligno e Bocca di Dama, biscotti salati e dolci s made in black e dalla cultura del gusto racchiusa in nei deliziosi vini di Tasca D’ Almerita.

MONNA (G)AY: ART, FUN, MUSIC & CHARITY IN FLORENCE

It will be held from 13^th to 15^th June 2014 in Florence in Piazza della Passera during the second edition of Monna Lisa Day, the charity event Monna (G)ay where it will be showcased and sold during a charity auction the works made by artists, fashion designers and renowned creatives( as Alberto Lapenna, Amleto Di Leo, Caterina Bini, Christian Correnti, Cori Amenta, Davide Bazzerla, Federico Tinelli, First Love Yourself, Floriana Cantarelli, Francesca Lotti, Franco Bini, Gerry De Bastiano, Lapo Belmestieri, Liborio Capizzi, Luca De Gaetano, Marco and Clinton Querci, MSGM Massimo Giorgetti, Mustafa Sabbagh, Paolo Orlandi, Ralph Hall, Riccardo Slavik, Thomas De Falco and many others), inspired by the theme of Monna Lisa. The events wants encouraging people to air the laundry in public, go out and invite to make their coming out without any fear of being discriminated for the way they are and live their own sexuality. The proceeds resulting from the auction sale, which will be directed by Diego Passoni from Radio Deejay, will be given to the no-profit association Ireos which helps the people from the LGBT community who are in difficulty. Music and fun will feature in the opening party of the event, made in collaboration with the Krisko by Paolo Penelope which will be held on 13^th June 2014 at the Life club, then it will follow on the 15^th June from 6:00 to 8:00 pm the charity auction. A not to be missed happening which has a laudable purpose.

L’ evento vuole incoraggiare la gente a lavare i propri panni in piazza, uscir fuori e invitarli a fare coming out senza alcuna paura di essere discriminati per come sono e vivono la propria sessualità. I proventi derivanti dalla vendita all’ asta, che sarà diretta da Diego Passoni di Radio Deejay, saranno donati all’ associazione no-profit Ireos che aiuta le persone della comunità LGBT in difficoltà. Musica e divertimento saranno i protagonisti del party di apertura dell’ happening, realizzato in collaborazione con Krisko di Paolo Penelope che si terrà il 13 giugno 2014 presso il locale Life, seguirà poi il 15 giugno dalle 18:00 alle ore 20:00 l’ evento di beneficienza. Un evento imperdibile che ha una lodevole finalità.

A SMASHING MILANESE AFTERNOON INTERLUDE FEATURING LIBORIO CAPIZZI

It is always an awesome experience to visit the atelier of Liborio Capizzi, awesome, ironic, passionate individual who is a genius creative and has the sense of construction, successfully made concrete in the haute couture and demi-couture creations he made. It was a pleasant afternoon interlude, dressed up by coffee and brilliant conversations about art and music: subcultures as punk, the real punk movement which arose before in New York City, as Liborio told me, who has been so lucky to live and experience himself the times of CBGB (legendary New York club where it performed great artists as the Ramones, Lou Reed, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, Talking Heads and The Blondie). Naturally he also talked me about the new demi-couture Fall/Winter 2014-2015 collection DiLiborio red label, he presented during the latest edition of Milan Fashion Week at his atelier (chance to enjoy the amazing mutations of this marvelous and extremely evocative space as well as to see Skin, Liborio’s muse and long-time friend for whom he works on her look during the tour of Skunk Anansie) featuring rock and new-pagan suggestions that overlap to industrial patterns and fringes giving rise to new innovative shapes and unusual creations as the marvelous jackets made of eco-fur, that embody a healthy ethic and a catchy, high impact design.

UN FORMIDABILE INTERLUDIO POMERIDIANO A MILANO CON LIBORIO CAPIZZI

È sempre una fantastica esperienza far visita all’ atelier di Liborio Capizzi, ironica e ardente individualità che è un creativo geniale ed ha il senso per la costruzione, felicemente concretizzato nelle sue creazione di alta moda e demi-couture. È stato un piacevole interludio pomeridiano, condito da caffè e brillanti conversazioni su arte e musica: subculture come il punk, il vero movimento punk che è nato prima a New York City, come Liborio mi raccontava, che è stato così fortunato da vivere e sperimentare in prima persona i tempi del CBGB (leggendario club newyorkese in cui si sono esibiti grandi artisti come i Ramones, Lour Reed, Patti Smith, Iggy Pop, i Talking Heads ed i Blondie). Naturalmente mi ha anche parlato della collezione demi-couture autunno-inverno 2014-2015 DiLiborio etichetta rossa, da lui presentata durante l’ ultima edizione della fashion week milanese al suo atelier (occasione per apprezzare le sorprendenti mutazioni di questo spazio meraviglioso ed estremamente evocativo, come anche incontrare Skin, musa e amica di lunga data di Liborio di cui cura l’ immagine durante il tour degli Skunk Anansie) di cui sono protagoniste suggestioni rock e neo-pagane che si sovrappongono a motivi industrial e frange, dando vita a forme innovative e insolite creazioni quali le superbe giacche realizzate in pelliccia ecologica che racchiudono in sé una salubre etica e un accattivante design dal forte impatto.
