MILAN SALONE DEL MOBILE: PAN 999, PURE SILVER PAN, “THE NATURE OF DESIRE” BY SAN LORENZO AT THE SPAZIO ROSSANA ORLANDI SEEN BY JASMIN SCHROEDER

The Spazio Rossana Orlandi, Milan cathedral of design created by renowned and eminent Rossana Orlandi, hosts during the Salone del Mobile “The Nature of Desire”, words evoking sensuality, ethical-philosophical issues ( reminding me the book “To desire in vain. The myth of Faust in Goethe and elsewhere” by Francesco Roat) and entitling the exhibition project featuring the creations by San Lorenzo, its label PAN 999, the Pure Silver Pan line, a series of pots made of silver and steel. More specifically the interior side of pots is made of silver and the exterior one is made or steel in order to avoid oxidation(. And for all the ones who question on the eventuality of using silver pots to cook, it has to be told the use of silver for cooking has a germicide, viricidal and fungicide function and it’s the best metal conducting warmth). This showcase was emphasized by a series of suggestive metal installations and other catchy furniture being at this enchanting place.

Lo Spazio Rossana Orlandi, cattedrale del design di Milano creata dalla rinomata e illustre Rossana Orlandi, ospita in occasione del Salone del Mobile “The Nature of Desire” (che equivale a “La Natura del Desiderio”, lemmi che evocano sensualità, questioni etico-filosofiche ( mi ricordano il libro “Desiderare invano. Il mito di Faust in Goethe e altrove” di Francesco Roat) e danno il nome al progetto espositivo di cui sono protagoniste le creazioni di San Lorenzo, la sua etichetta PAN 999, la linea Pure Silver Pan, una serie di pentole realizzate in argento e acciaio. Più specificamente la parte interna degli utensili è realizzata in argento e quella esterna in acciaio al fine di evitare l’ ossidazione (. E per coloro che sono critici in merito all’ eventualità di usare utensili d’ argento per cucinare, deve essere precisato che l’ argento, se usato per cucinare ha una funzione germicida, viricida, fungicida ed è anche il migliore metallo conduttore di calore). Questa rassegna è enfatizzata da una serie di suggestive installazioni in metallo e altri accattivanti arredi che si trovano in questo incantevole luogo.

ALTAROMA: A.I. “BODY FOR THE DRESS”, THE CELEBRATION OF BODY BETWEEN ART AND FASHION

Artisanal Intelligence (A.I.)”Body for the dress”, a nice showcase under the sign of art, fashion and craftsmanship, curated by Clara Tosi Pamphili and Alessio De’ Navasques which was held during the Altaroma latest edition at the suggestive buildings of La Dogana – a huge industrial building – which yesterday hosted an ancient railway station, placed in the Rome area of San Lorenzo, the one which has resisted against the German attacks during the Second World War of whose tracks are still impressed in many buildings – featured the works by visual artists as the bright Sacha Turchi, who made a sculpture evoking the spinal column, the structure of human body. Constructions, clear signs embodying visions as the ones by Giacomo Frasson and Giulia Roman, graduated students from the Fashion Design Faculty of Iuav University of Venice, as well as by Melampo, brand created by Lulù and Anna Poletti, Brighenti – renowned Rome boutique, which made the lingerie for actresses and showgirls – and others who have drawn an artistic path, successfully putting the light on the energies and ideas, featuring in the contemporary times where the new reads again the old to find a way to go, though the destination is still unknown.

Artisanal Intelligence (A.I.)”Body for the dress”, una simpatica rassegna sotto il segno di arte, moda e artigianalità, curata da Clara Tosi Pamphili e Alessio De’ Navasques che si è tenuta in occasione dell’ ultima edizione di Altaroma presso i suggestivi edifici de La Dogana – un enorme costruzione industriale che ieri ha ospitato un’ antica stazione ferroviaria, ubicata nel quartiere romano di San Lorenzo, quello che ha resistito agli attacchi tedeschi durante la Seconda Guerra Mondiale, le cui tracce sono tuttora impresse in numerosi palazzi – ed ha avuto quali protagonisti i lavori di artisti come la brillante Sacha Turchi, la quale ha realizzato una scultura che evoca la colonna vertebrale, la struttura del corpo umano. Costruzioni, segni precisi che racchiudono in sé visioni quali quelle di Giacomo Frasson e Giulia Roman, studenti neo-laureati della Facoltà di Fashion Design dell’ Università Iuav di Venezia, come anche Melampo, brand creato da Lulù e Anna Poletti, Brighenti -rinomata boutique romana di lingerie di lusso, che ha realizzato biancheria intima per attrici e showgirl – ed altri che hanno tracciato un percorso artistico, gettando felicemente luce sulle energie e idee protagoniste della contemporaneità in cui il nuovo rilegge il vecchio per trovare una strada da intraprendere, pur essendo la destinazione ancora ignota.

“NATURE, A LITTLE LESS CONVERSATION”: THE CREATIVITY & SUSTAINABILITY BY MYRIAM BY & MARIO SALVUCCI

“Nature, a little less conversation” is a collateral event of Altaroma latest edition, a tale about nature and sustainability, invoking “more action” as sang yesterday Elvis Presley, featuring two vibrant creatives, Myriam B and Mario Salvucci who share the same interest on nature as source of inspiration and value to defend and protect – as well as its hosts, flowers, plants and insects, patterns depicted in the jewels they made -, a creative interlude giving rise to a co-branding, limited edition of jewelry. The jewels, six unique items they made, will be presented on 8^th July 2013, at 6:00 pm in Rome at the Aspecifico atelier of Myriam B (placed in the area of San Lorenzo at the celebrated building ex-Pastificio Cerere), during an opening cocktail, featuring Epicurean suggestions by the Montefalco wine company Sciacciadiavoli along with the delicious appetizers made by the bright food-artist Francesca Silveri in collaboration with the Foligno Forno di San Feliciano and they will be on show on 9^th and 10^th July 2013 from 11:00 am to 7:00 at the atelier. ART, PHOTOGRAPHY & FASHION FOR THE OPEN HOUSE EVENT AT THE ROME EX PASTIFICIO CERERE

It has opened during the Open House event in Rome at the ex Pastificio Cerere, smashing building placed in the area of San Lorenzo, in the Pastificio Cerere Foundation, “Il potere del ritratto“( The power of portrait), exhibition curated by Diego Mormorio, made by the Nando and Elsa Peretti Foundation in collaboration with 3M Foundation, featuring the photography by Ghitta Garrell, telling about the story of an era going from Thirties to Fifties and running through 17^th May 2013.

The exhibition has been one of the suggestive events hosted in the ex Pastificio which has included the opening of studios of artists as Ottavio Celestino and Giangaetano Patanè and ateliers as the Aspecific Atelier of Myriam B.

An awesome happening to enjoy art, photography and fashion in Rome, in a highly evocative place which yesterday has hosted artists from the Trans-avant-garde like Francesco Clemente, Francesca Woodman and continues to hold this tradition, hosting the studios of vibrant contemporary artists and creatives.

ARTE, FOTOGRAFIA & MODA PER L’ EVENTO OPEN HOUSE ALL’ EX PASTIFICIO CERERE DI ROMA

È stata inaugurata in occasione dell’ evento Open House a Roma presso l’ ex Pastificio Cerere, suggestivo edificio ubicato nell’ area di San Lorenzo, nella Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, “Il potere del ritratto”, mostra curata da Diego Mormorio, realizzata dalla Fondazione Nando ed Elsa Peretti in collaborazione con la Fondazione 3M, di cui è protagonista la fotografia di Ghitta Garrell che racconta la storia di un’ epoca che va dagli anni Trenta agli anni Cinquanta e prosegue fino al 17 maggio 2013.

La mostra è stato uno degli eventi ospitati nell’ ex Pastificio che ha incluso l’ apertura degli studi di artisti quali Ottavio Celestino e Giangaetano Patanè ed atelier quali l’ Atelier aspecifico di Myriam B.

FASHION, JEWELRY AND ART: THE CHRISTMAS IN ROME UNDER THE SIGN OF MYRIAM B.

It follows during this time under the sign of custom for running to buy and give as a gifts the continuous opening of stores and boutiques as Myriam B., the flagship store of my darling friend Myriam Bottazzi, placed in Rome, in the area of San Lorenzo (I like remembering the first time I entered into the boutique. Many years ago I just moved from Rione Monti in San Lorenzo and I was exploring the new area, then I saw the her store and I suddenly entered. That was the first time I met Myriam, circumstance which represents how our friendship started, for random, a friendship which still lasts today) which will be opened for the last Christmas, representing its closing and hopefully also new, marvelous changes for her work, featuring refined jewelry, accessories and womenswear under the sign of craftsmanship and poetry. Merry Christmas and happy new year dear Myriam!

MODA, GIOIELLI E ARTE: IL NATALE A ROMA SOTTO IL SEGNO DI MYRIAM B.

Prosegue in occasione di questo periodo all’ insegna della consuetudine di correre a comprare e fare regali, l’ apertura continuativa di negozi e boutique quali Myriam B., il flagship store della mia cara amica Myriam Bottazzi, ubicato a Roma, nei dintorni di San Lorenzo (mi piace ricordare la prima volta che sono entrata nella boutique. Tanti anni fa mi ero trasferita dal Rione Monti a San Lorenzo e stavo esplorando la nuova zona, sicché ho visto il suo negozio e sono subito entrata. Questa era la prima volta che incontravo Myriam, circostanza che rappresenta il modo in cui è iniziata la nostra amicizia, per caso, una amicizia che dura ancora oggi) che sarà aperto per l’ ultimo Natale, segnando la sua chiusura e sperabilmente anche nuovi, meravigliosi cambiamenti per il suo lavoro di cui sono protagonisti raffinati gioielli, accessori e abbigliamento da donna all’ insegna di artigianalità e poesia.
