“Nerissimo”, superlative qualifying adjective (standing as “Blackest“) representing a non-color, the black, embodying all of the colors. An incubator of possibilities, metaphor of deepness, vitality and dynamism which is connected to that (if, as I think, it interprets life as moving towards something), this is the title of new album ( Specula Records) by Teho Teardo and Blixa Bargeld, sublime work under the sign of refined experimentation which recalls the alchemic Nigredo or Blackness, the first phase of alchemic process (resuming in the sentence “we haven’t eyes to see and making concrete in the self-observation and memory of self) or rather the death of ego, all of the personal desires where every material, psychic and spiritual element is put putrefying in order to become a black and undivided whole. A genuine spiritual path, made concrete in everyday life of human acting, being intimist and silent, a technique or rather art which finds a new context, the music, the construction of an album. Methodical, continuous rhythm, resulting from a deep search and introspection, made of many phases and allegories, as the reinterpretation of mysterious painting by Hans Holbein The Younger, “The ambassadors”- which is animated in the music video of “The beast”, single track included in the second album of brilliant artists duo – full of Masonic and alchemic symbols: the set square, compass, clocks, a goniometer, objects also representing the quadrivium or music, arithmetic, astronomy and geometry. It shines that research of sounds, spiritual dimensions, drawing another reality which is free from negative imaginations and emotions, going beyond the appearance, what the eye cannot see. “Nerissimo”, aggettivo qualificativo superlativo che rappresenta un non-colore, il nero, che racchiude tutti i colori. Un incubatore di possibilità, metafora di profondità, vitalità e il dinamismo a essa legato ( se per vita si intende come ritengo: “movimento verso qualcosa”), questo è il titolo del nuovo album (Specula Records) di Teho Teardo e Blixa Bargeld, sublime lavoro di raffinata sperimentazione che richiama l’ alchemica Nigredo o Opera al nero, la prima fase del processo alchemico (che si riassume nell’ affermazione “non abbiamo occhi per vedere” e si articola nell’ auto-osservazione e nel ricordo di sé) ovvero della morte dell’ Io, di tutti i desideri personali, in cui ogni elemento materiale, psichico e spirituale viene gettato in un luogo di putrefazione per diventare parte di un tutto nero e indiviso. Un autentico cammino spirituale, concretizzato nella quotidianità dell’ agire umano, intimistico e silenzioso, una tecnica o meglio arte che trova un nuovo contesto, la musica, la costruzione di un album. Metodico ritmo continuativo, risultato di una profonda ricerca e introspezione, che si articola in più fasi e plurime allegorie, una tra tutte è la reinterpretazione dell’ enigmatico dipinto di Hans Holbein il Giovane , “Gli ambasciatori” – che è animato nel video di “The beast”, singolo incluso nel secondo album del brillante duo di artisti -, pervaso di simboli massonici e alchemici: la squadra, il compasso, gli orologi, un goniometro, oggetti che peraltro simboleggiano l’ arte del quadrivio ovvero la musica, aritmetica, astronomia e geometria. Splende quella ricerca di suoni, dimensioni spirituali, che disegna un’ altra realtà epurata da immaginazioni ed emozioni negative e va oltre le apparenze, ciò che l’ occhio non può vedere. The genius composer, overwhelming and vibrant artist Teho Teardo will feature in the Galway International Arts Festival – which will be held in Galway from 16th to 26th July 2015 – where it will be presented two different projects involving him, a movie which will be premiered during this event, “The Match Box” by Frank McGuinness, directed by Joan Sheehy, for which he made the soundtrack and another wondrous work, “Le Retour à la raison”(Specula Records), an album – an emotional encounter giving rise to a magic syncretism between art and music – which will be premiered during the Festival andwill be released on 19th September 2015. This moving work embodies the music he composed for three films by Man Ray or La retour à la raison (1923), L’etoile de mer (1928) and Emak Bakia (1926), that will be screened during the concert, an announced success, featuring forty guitarists as Joe Lally – the celebrated front-man of band Fugazi -, the filmmaker Andrea Molaioli, film critic Mario Sesti, the violinists Elena de Stabile and Stefano Azzolina who will perform along with Teho on 23rd July 2015 in Galway, at the St. Nicholas Church at 9 pm. Il geniale compositore, irrefrenabile e vibrante artista Teho Teardo sarà protagonista del Galway International Arts Festival – che si terrà a Galway dal 16 al 26 luglio 2015 – in cui saranno presentati due diversi progetti che lo coinvolgono, un film che sarà presentato in anteprima durante questo evento “The Match Box” di Frank McGuinness, diretto da Joan Sheehy, per cui ha realizzato la colonna sonora e un altro splendido lavoro, “Le Retour à la raison”(Specula Records), un album che sarà presentato in anteprima durante il Festival e sarà pubblicato il 19 settembre 2015. Literature, theatre and music, magic synaesthesia which embodies many syncretismes and opens the way to new experimentation under the sign of viscerality, lyricism and contemporary times. This is “Journey to the end of night”, performance featuring music by the genius composer Teho Teardo and voice by the famous actor Elio Germano, who, accompanied by the cellist Martina Bertoni and a string quintet will stage on 17th July 2015 in Roma at Villa Ada and on 18th July 2015 in Fossombrone during the Fossombrone Theatre Festival the bright version they made of the masterpiece – the first novel – by Louis-Fernand Céline, enriched by new, intense suggestions. An yesterday tale which is a never-ending story having as features the war and its horrors, poverty, basically considered as moral misery. The desperation of a nihilistic and grotesque vision, the one of the celebrated novelist, which is embodied by the main character of the book he made, Ferdinand Bardanu and dyed with a strong pessimism on human nature, institutions and life, meets the sounds of guitar, strings and electro music, that emphasize its reinterpretation, giving rise to a coral experience. A not to be missed event for all the ones who are devoted to music, art and celebrate the syncretic way of thinking.

Letteratura, teatro e musica, magica sinestesia che racchiude in sé molteplici sincretismi e apre la via a insolite sperimentazioni all’ insegna di visceralità, lirismo e contemporaneità. Questo è “Viaggio al termine della notte”, spettacolo di cui è protagonista la musica del geniale compositore Teho Teardo e la voce del famoso attore Elio Germano, i quali, accompagnati dalla violoncellista Martina Bertoni e da un quintetto d’ archi, porteranno in scena il 17 luglio 2015 a Roma a Villa Ada e il 18 luglio 2015 a Fossombrone in occasione del Fossombrone Teatro Festival la loro brillante versione del capolavoro – opera prima – di Louis-Fernand Céline, arricchito da nuove, intense suggestioni. Un racconto di ieri, una storia di sempre che ha quali comprimari la guerra e i suoi orrori, la povertà, intesa essenzialmente quale miseria morale. La disperazione di una visione nichilista e grottesca, quella del celebre autore, che è incarnata dal protagonista del suo racconto, Ferdinand Bardanu e colorata da un forte pessimismo sulla natura umana, sulle istituzioni e sulla vita, incontra le sonorità di chitarra, archi e musica elettronica, che ne enfatizzano la rilettura, dando vita a un’ esperienza corale. Un evento imperdibile per tutti coloro che sono devoti alla musica, all’ arte e celebrano il pensiero sincretico.

It has recently opened the first edition of a smashing event, “In/Visible Cities Urban Multimedia Festival”, promoted by the association Quarantasettezeroquattro which explores the urban multimedia, reading again and transforming through the digital arts and interactivity the four places where takes place: Gorizia, Trieste, Nova Gorica and Miren Constanjevica. Art, culture and music features in this event which is named like the celebrated novel by Italo Calvino “Invisible cities” and examines the social and psychological dynamics on which it has stratified the city and spirit of people. Sedimentations, memory, a story, “The cities and war”, story of an age, the First World War. This is the theme on which the Festival is focused, emphasized by a wide display of pictures of the war, kept by national photography archives. The tracks of war, a tragedy which upsetted the life of many people, the survivors and broke the one of many others, the dead people, become art. Lyricism, passion, instinctual movements of life and death, a solemn and intense interlude where the music joins to photography, giving rise to “A cheap of broken images Gorizia 1915-1918”, event which will be held on 5th June 2015 in Gorizia, in Piazza Transalpina at 9:30 pm featuring the music by the genius composer Teho Teardo and a video installation by Karmachina( made in collaboration with Home Movies – National Archive of Family’s Film, Friuli Film Library, The Photography Library of City of Gorizia Museums, the Udine University of the Studies, the University Course DAMS- La Camera Ottica Laboratory, the Consortium for the development of Gorizia University). A not to be missed event which celebrates the culture, stratifications of lives, feelings and experiences.

Si è recentemente aperta la prima edizione di un formidabile evento “In/Visible Cities Urban Multimedia Festival”, promosso dall’ associazione Quarantasettezeroquattro che esplora la multimedialità urbana, rileggendo e trasformando attraverso le arti digitali e l’ interattività i quattro luoghi in cui ha luogo: Gorizia, Trieste, Nova Gorica e Miren Constanjevica. Arte, cultura e musica sono i protagonisti di questo evento che prende il nome dal celebre libro di Italo Calvino “Le città invisibili” e indaga sulle dinamiche sociali e psicologiche su cui si è stratificata la città e lo spirito del popolo. Sedimentazioni, memoria, una storia, “Le città e la guerra”, il racconto di un’ epoca, la prima guerra mondiale. Questo il tema su cui è incentrato il Festival, enfatizzato da un’ ampia rassegna di immagini del conflitto conservate da archivi fotografici nazionali. Le tracce della guerra, di una tragedia che ha stravolto la vita di molti individui, i sopravvissuti e spezzato quella di molti altri, i morti, diventano arte. Lirismo, passione, movimenti pulsionali di vita e morte, un solenne e intenso interludio in cui la musica si unisce alla fotografia dando vita a “Un cumulo di immagini infrante Gorizia 1915-1918”, evento che si terrà il 5 Giugno 2015 a Gorizia, in Piazza Transalpina alle ore 21:30 di cui sarà protagonista la musica del geniale compositore Teho Teardo e un’ installazione video di Karmachina( realizzata in collaborazione con Home Movies – Archivio Nazionale del Film di Famiglia, La Cineteca del Friuli, la Fototeca dei Musei Provinciali di Gorizia, l’ Università degli Studi di Udine, il Corso di laurea DAMS- Laboratorio La Camera Ottica, il Consorzio per lo Sviluppo del Polo Universitario di Gorizia). “Ballyturk” is the new play by the acclaimed Irish playwright Enda Walsh, a bitter-sweet comedy telling about the lives of two man unraveling quickly over the course of 90 minutes. Where are they, who are they, what room is this and what might be beyond the wall?. These are some of the questions embodied in this work which will be premiered on on 14th July in Galway, during the Galway International Arts Festival, featuring Cillian Murphy, Stephen Rea (both of them starred in the smashing film by Neil Jordan “Breakfast on Pluto”) and Mikel Murfi. A bright cast of artists along with a suggestive music which will be composed by the genius Teho Teardo and will be also turned into an album. Later the play will be staged from 11th September to 11th October 2014 in London at the National Theatre. A not to be missed happening to enjoy the work by vibrant artists.

“Ballyturk” è la nuova pièce teatrale dell’ acclamato commediografo irlandese Enda Walsh, una commedia agrodolce che racconta le vite di due uomini che vanno a rotoli nel corso di 90 minuti. Dove si trovano, chi sono, quale stanza è quella e cosa potrebbe esserci oltre il muro? Questi sono alcuni egli interrogativi racchiusi in quest’ opera che sarà presentata in anteprima il 14 luglio a Galway, in occasione del Galway International Arts Festival, di cui saranno protagonisti Cillian Murphy, Stephen Rea (entrambi protagonisti della formidabile pellicola di Neil Jordan “Breakfast on Pluto”) e Mikel Murfi. Un brillante di artisti insieme alla suggestiva musica che sarà composta dal geniale Teho Teardo e sarà anche trasformata in un album.
